Lifter / Lash Adjuster: Service and Repair

REMOVAL
1. Remove the upper intake manifold.
2. Remove the valve rocker arms and the pushrods.
3. Remove the lower intake manifold.
4. Remove the valve lifter guide bolts.
5. Remove the valve lifter guide.
6. Remove the valve lifters.

INSTALLATION
1. Coat the valve lifters with prelude, GM P/N 12345501 or equivalent.
2. Install the valve lifters.
3. Install the valve lifter guide.
4. Install the valve lifter guide bolts. Tighten the guide bolts to 30 Nm (22 ft. lbs.).
5. Install the lower intake manifold.
6. Install the valve rocker arms and pushrods.
7. Install the upper intake manifold.
