Brake Master Cylinder Reservoir Replacement
Brake Master Cylinder:
REMOVE OR DISCONNECT
1. Master cylinder.
2. Clamp flange of cylinder body in a vise.
NOTE: Do not overtighten vise, or damage to the master cylinder will result.
3. Drive out master cylinder reservoir pins using 1/8-inch punch.
Brake Master Cylinder Components:
4. Master cylinder reservoir by pulling straight up and away from cylinder body.
5. Master cylinder reservoir grommets from grooves in reservoir and discard. Inspect reservoir for cracks or deformation. Replace reservoir, if damaged. Clean reservoir with clean denatured alcohol. Dry with unlubricated compressed air.
INSTALL OR CONNECT
1. Lubricate new grommets and grooves in reservoir with clean brake fluid.
2. Grommets into grooves in reservoir. Make sure grommets are properly seated.
3. Reservoir to cylinder body by pressing straight down by hand into cylinder body.
4. Drive in mater cylinder reservoir pins to retain reservoir.
5. Master cylinder.
