Rear Brake (Center) Hose

Routing Rear Brake Pipes And Hoses (Without Traction Control):





REMOVE OR DISCONNECT
1. Raise and suitably support vehicle. Clean Dirt and foreign material from brake hose and brake pipe fittings.
2. Rear brake front pipe from brake hose. Use backup wrench on brake hose fitting. Be careful not to bend brake hose bracket or brake front pipe.
3. Brake hose retainer from brake hose bracket and brake hose.
4. Rear brake hose.
5. Left rear pipe and right rear pipe from hose. Be careful not to bend left rear pipe and right rear pipe.
6. Rear brake hose fitting bolt/screw and brake hose from rear axle. Note position of brake hose for proper location during installation.

INSTALL OR CONNECT
1. Brake hose and brake hose fitting bolt/screw to rear axle. Tighten Rear brake (center) hose fitting bolt/screw to 21 Nm (15 ft. lbs.).
2. Left rear pipe and right rear pipe to brake hose. Tighten Left rear pipe and right rear pipe at rear brake (center) hose to 24 Nm (18 ft. lbs.). Left rear pipe and right rear pipe at left hand brake hose to 17 Nm (13 ft. lbs.).
3. Brake hose into brake hose bracket. Be sure brake hose is seated properly and not twisted.
4. Rear brake hose retainer to rear brake hose bracket and brake hose.
5. Rear brake front pipe to brake hose. Use backup wrench on brake hose. Be careful not to bend brake hose bracket or rear brake front pipe. Tighten Rear brake front pipe to rear brake (center) hose to 15 Nm (11 ft. lbs.).
6. Bleed brake hydraulic system.
7. Lower vehicle.
