Brake Pedal:






REMOVE OR DISCONNECT
1. Negative battery cable.
2. Left side instrument panel insulator.
3. Electronic Brake Control Module (EBCM).
4. Brake pedal pushrod pin retainer, brake pedal pushrod and brake pedal pushrod washer from brake pedal pin.
5. Brake pedal pivot nut and brake pedal pivot bolt/screw. Slide out brake pedal pivot bolt/screw par way, giving enough clearance to remove brake pedal.
6. Brake pedal.
7. Brake pedal pivot bushings from brake pedal, if necessary.
8. Brake pedal pivot spacer from brake pedal, if necessary. Clean all parts with suitable solvent. Inspect all parts for wear. Repair or replace as needed.

INSTALL OR CONNECT
1. Brake pedal pivot spacer to brake pedal, if removed.
2. Brake pedal pivot bushings to brake pedal, if removed.
3. Brake pedal.
4. Brake pedal pivot bolt/screw and brake pedal pivot nut. Lubricate brake pedal pivot bolt/screw with chassis lubricant. Tighten brake pedal pivot nuts to 54 Nm (40 ft. lbs.).
5. Brake pedal pushrod pin retainer, brake pedal pushrod and brake pedal pushrod washer to brake pedal pin. Lubricate brake pedal pin with chassis lubricant.
6. Electronic Brake Control Module (EBCM).
7. Left side instrument panel insulator.
8. Negative battery cable. Tighten negative battery cable to 15 Nm (11 ft. lbs.). Adjust cruise control release switch, and stoplamp and Torque Converter Clutch (TCC) switch, and cruise control clutch switch or cruise control clutch anticipate switch if equipped.
