AMAX Stereo Certification

All optional radios are AMAX certified. These receivers can reproduce the fidelity sound now transmitted by all AM stations but not received on all AM radios.

Some improvements are high fidelity, adjustable receiver band width (wide for high fidelity or narrow to cut out any interference), noise cancellation, full stereo sound, new frequencies received and external antenna capability.

The range of most AM stations is greater than FM, especially at night The longer range, however, can cause stations to interfere with each other. AM is also subject to noise pick-up from storms, power lines, etc. AMAX certification reduces many of these problems.
