Circuit Description

MIL is illuminated by PCM if diagnostics have detected certain errors related to engine performance or engine sensor status. Illumination is accomplished by PCM providing a ground path for light circuit.
DTC will set when the following conditions are present:
- MIL is requested on.
- No voltage drop on MIL control circuit.
- Two consecutive faults detected.
- Conditions are met for 2 seconds.
Or
- MIL is requested off.
- No ignition voltage on MIL control circuit.
- Two consecutive faults detected.
- Conditions are met for 2 seconds.
