Circuit Description
WARNING: This page is about a different variant/trim than selected.
The Mass Airflow (MAF) sensor measures the amount of air entering the engine during a given time. PCM uses MAF sensor information to monitor EGR flow rates. A large quantity of air entering the engine indicates an acceleration, high load situation or no EGR flow, while a small quantity of air entering the engine indicates deceleration, idle or full EGR operation.
PCM will monitor MAF and EGR pressure at different ranges to determine correct EGR flow rates.
DTC will set when the following conditions are present:
- The 5 ALM cells are less than 0.5.
