Circuit Description

VCM constantly monitors linear EGR valve pintle position sensor to ensure valve is responding properly to commands from VCM.
DTC will set when the following conditions are present:
- EGR pintle position signal indicates a voltage out of normal range of pintle position sensor, or a signal that is 10 percent greater or less than VCM commanded position.
- Ignition voltage is greater than 9 volts.
