Gauge Is Inaccurate (Motorhome)
- Disconnect sending unit connector. Turn ignition on. Connect one Red lead of Gauge Tester (J 33431-B) to sending unit connector Tan wire. Connect other Red tester lead to ground. Set resistance dial to zero ohms, then slowly move to 90 ohms. If oil pressure gauge does not respond, go to next step. If oil pressure gauge reads zero at first, then slowly moves until reading full scale, replace sending unit.
- Remove gauge tester. Disconnect instrument cluster. Connect a fused jumper wire between instrument cluster terminal No. 27 (Pink wire) and voltage. Connect another fused jumper between instrument cluster terminal No. 20 (Black wire) and ground. Connect one Red lead of gauge tester to terminal No. 21 (Tan wire). Connect other Red lead to ground. Connect Set resistance dial to zero ohms, then slowly move to 90 ohms.
- If oil pressure gauge reads low, then slowly moves toward high, repair high resistance in Tan wire. If oil pressure gauge does not respond correctly, check instrument cluster for an open in printed circuit. If printed circuit is okay, replace oil pressure gauge.
