Preferred Method (Abs)

NOTE: If any brake component is repaired or replaced and air is allowed to enter the system, the entire bleeding procedure must be followed.
  1. Before bleeding system, use Tech 1 scan tool to place hydraulic modulator/motor pack assembly displacement cylinder pistons in upper position. To position pistons, connect Tech 1 scan tool to DLC, and enter Manual Control function.
  2. Ensure enable relay is on. Apply front and rear motor. Pistons should return to upper position. Bleed entire system using either MANUAL BLEEDING (ABS)  or PRESSURE BLEEDING (ABS) procedure. If Tech 1 scan tool is not available, alternate method may be used. See ALTERNATE METHOD (ABS) procedure.
CAUTION: Use alternate method only if ABS warning light is NOT on and no DTCs are present. Follow procedure exactly, DO NOT place foot on brake pedal unless directed to do so.
