Oil Temperature Gauge Always Indicates Hot

Turn ignition on, with engine off. Disconnect oil temperature sensor connector. If oil temperature gauge indicates cold, replace oil temperature sensor. If oil temperature gauge remains hot, check for short to ground in Dark Green wire between instrument cluster and oil temperature sensor. If Dark Green wire is okay, replace instrument cluster.
