Fuel Gauge Always Reads Full
- Disconnect fuel gauge sending unit. Connect fused jumper wire between Purple wire of harness half and ground. Turn ignition on.
- If gauge indicates full, check wiring between sending unit and IPC for open circuit or loose connections at instrument panel. If wiring is okay, replace fuel gauge sending unit.
- If gauge indicates empty, connect fused jumper wire between Purple wire of harness half and sending unit wire. If gauge reads empty, check ground wire to sending unit for open circuit. If fuel gauge operates correctly with fused jumper wire installed, replace sending unit.
