Bleeding With Tech 1

  1. Bleed BPMV after master cylinder, but before wheel cylinders and calipers. Install Tech 1 with appropriate cartridge on vehicle. Before bleeding BPMV, bleed wheel cylinders and calipers as necessary to remove as much air from system as possible.
  2. Brake bleeding sequence is as follows: right rear, left rear, right front, left front. Use DOT 3 brake fluid only. Repeat bleeding procedure if necessary.
  3. Firmly press and hold brake pedal. Using Tech 1, perform 3 function tests. All air should be removed from BPMV. Rebleed wheel cylinders and calipers. See step 2) for bleeding sequence. This will remove any air in brakelines from purging BPMV. Evaluate brake pedal feel and braking performance. Repeat bleeding procedure if necessary.
