Enabling the SIR System

IMPORTANT:
^ With the "AIR BAG" fuse removed and ignition switch "ON," the "AIR BAG" warning lamp will be "ON." This is normal operation and does not indicate a SIR system malfunction.

INSTALL OR CONNECT
^ Turn ignition switch to "LOCK" and remove key.

1. Both yellow 2-way connectors located near the base of the steering column and the corresponding CPA.
2. "AIR BAG" fuse to I/P fuse block.

^ Turn ignition switch to "RUN" and verify that the "AIR BAG" warning lamp flashes seven times and then turns "OFF." If it does not operate as described, perform the "SIR Diagnostic System Check." Testing and Inspection
