Arming Sensor

1. Deactivate airbag system as described under MAINTENANCE PROCEDURES/AIRBAG DEACTIVATION.
2. Remove glove compartment assembly.
3. Remove CPA and disconnect sensor electrical connector.
4. Remove sensor mounting bolts, then remove sensor.
5. Reverse procedure to install, noting the following:
a. Torque mounting bolts to 80 inch lbs.
b. Following installation, activate airbag system as described under MAINTENANCE PROCEDURES/AIRBAG ACTIVATION.
c. Turn ignition switch to the On position and verify the ``Inflatable Restraint'' indicator flashes 7 to 9 times then turns Off. If indicator does not respond, refer to DIAGNOSTIC AND TESTING PROCEDURES/TESTING PROCEDURES/RETRIEVING TROUBLE CODES.
