Exhaust Manifold: Service and Repair

LEFT SIDE
1. Remove air cleaner assembly.
2. Disconnect negative battery cable.
3. Remove coolant fan, then the heat shield.
4. Remove exhaust crossover pipe at manifold.
5. Remove exhaust manifold bolts, then the exhaust manifold, Fig. 4.
6. Reverse procedure to install.

RIGHT SIDE
1. Remove air cleaner assembly.
2. Disconnect negative battery cable.
3. Raise and support vehicle.
4. Remove exhaust pipe at crossover, then lower vehicle.
5. Remove heatshield, then the crossover at manifold.
6. Disconnect accelerator and T.V. cables, then remove bracket.
7. Remove oxygen sensor.
8. Remove exhaust manifold bolts, then the exhaust manifold, Fig. 4.
9. Reverse procedure to install.
