Engine Mount: Service and Repair

FRONT MOUNT
1. Disconnect battery ground cable.
2. Remove two engine mount to body bracket bolts, then the upper engine mount to engine bracket bolt. Raise and support vehicle.
3. Support engine with suitable jack.
4. Remove inner fender shield.
5. Remove lower engine mount to body bracket bolt, Fig. 1.
6. Remove lower engine mount to engine bracket bolt, then remove mount.
7. Reverse procedure to install. Clean all bolts with suitable solvent and apply suitable locking compound to threads prior to installation. Torque bolts to specifications given in Fig. 1.

REAR MOUNT
1. Disconnect battery ground cable, then raise and support vehicle.
2. Support engine with suitable jack.
3. Remove motor mount nuts and attaching bolts, Fig. 2.
4. Reverse procedure to install.
