No Low Coolant Indicator With Low Coolant Level

(Beretta, Cavalier, Corsica & Lumina)

1) Disconnect low coolant switch connector. Install jumper wire between Gray wire (Beretta, Cavalier and Corsica) or Yellow/Black wire (Lumina) of switch connector and ground. Turn ignition on. If indicator does not illuminate, check Gray or Yellow/Black wire to IPC for open circuit. Also check IPC printed circuit for open.

2) If indicator light illuminates, remove jumper wire and install jumper wire between Gray and Black wires (Beretta, Cavalier and Corsica) or Yellow/Black and Black/White wires (Lumina) of low coolant switch connector. If light illuminates, replace low coolant switch. If light does not illuminate, check for open circuit in Black or Black/White wire to low coolant switch.
