Fuel Gauge Always Reads Empty

Disconnect fuel gauge sending unit. Turn ignition on. If gauge indicates full, check ground. If ground is okay, replace fuel gauge sending unit. If gauge still indicates empty, check wire from sending unit to IPC for a short to ground or shorted IPC. If wiring is okay, check fuel gauge connections. If connections are okay, replace fuel gauge.
