Piston Rings

Rings are marked and must be installed properly. Marked side of ring must face toward top of piston. Top compression ring is chrome or molybdenum faced. Second compression ring has a tapered face. Oil ring is a 3-piece type. Ensure end gaps are positioned properly on piston. See Fig 1 .
