Transfer Case - Diagnosis & Overhaul - Borg-WARNER 1370, 4401 & 4470: Description

The Borg-Warner Model 1370, 4401 and 4470 transfer cases are part time 4-Wheel Drive (4WD) units. They are chain-driven and have a 2-piece aluminum case. The case has provisions for Power Take-Off (PTO) and uses an electronic synchronizer for shifting between 2WD to 4WD high while vehicle is still in motion.
