Spring Shackle: Removal

NOTE: Numbers in parenthesis refer to components and procedures identified in illustrations.
  1. Raise vehicle on a hoist and support the rear independently to relieve tension on the leaf spring.
  2. Loosen the shackle to spring nut (12). See Figure and Figure .
  3. Remove the shackle (18) to the rear bracket bolt (17), the nut (15) and the washers (16). See Figure and Figure.
  4. Remove the shackle to spring nut (12), the washers (13), and the bolt (14).
  5. Remove the shackle (18) from the vehicle.
