WARNING: This page does not describe the selected car, but rather 8 other vehicles, including the 1990 GMC S15 Pickup, 1990 GMC S15 Jimmy, 1990 GMC Pickup, 1990 GMC Cab & Chassis, and 1990 Chevrolet S10 Pickup. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
  1. Position coil spring on control arm. Ensure spring insulator is in place. Lift control arm with spring compressor and jack. Ensure coil spring is properly positioned with the end of lower spring coil covering one drain hole and clear of or partially covering the other.
NOTE: Coil spring must be positioned with tape at lowest position. Bottom of spring is coiled helical and top is coiled flat with a gripper notch near end of spring coil.
  2. Install lower control arm. Install pivot bolts (front bolt first). Pivot bolts must be installed with nuts toward the rear of vehicle. To install remaining components, reverse removal procedure.
