Bushing Replacement (R-P20/2500-30/3500 & G30/3500)

  1. Components can be changed with control arm in vehicle. To remove components, upper control arm must be disconnected from frame. See UPPER CONTROL ARM  in this article. Unscrew bushings and slide control arm shaft out of control arm. Remove inner seals from between bushings and shaft.
  2. To install, slide new seal onto each end of upper control arm shaft. Install shaft into upper control arm. Adjust shaft until centered in control arm, then tighten bushing nuts to specification. See Fig 1 . Check shaft for free rotation. Install grease fittings and lubricate bushings.
