Washer Fluid Does Not Spray On Windshield (Motor Runs)

WARNING: This page does not describe the selected car, but rather 10 other vehicles, including the 1990 GMC Vandura Special, 1990 GMC Vandura, 1990 GMC Rally Camper Special, 1990 GMC Rally, and 1990 GMC Magnavan. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
  1. Check all washer hoses for blockage. Check for battery voltage at terminal No. 2 on pulse module while pushing WASH button. If test light does not glow, repair open in circuit between wiper switch and motor.
  2. Remove case covering pump cam gear and pump rod. With ignition on, push WASH button. Wipers should cycle at low speed while pump rod is engaged with cam on wiper assembly. If pump operates but no fluid is pumped to windshield, replace pump.
