The Wiper system consists of a 2-speed permanent magnet motor enclosed in an upper and lower housing and a pulse/control module attached to motor. This assembly is located on firewall. The wiper motor is protected by an automatically reset circuit breaker located on the motor brush holder assembly. Vehicle wiring is fuse protected.
Two types of washer motor assemblies are utilized: (1) a cam-mounted washer pump which operates directly off the motor gear housing and (2) a reservoir-mounted electric pump. The electrical pump/reservoir is mounted on the inner engine compartment fender.
