Astro/Safari Van: Removal: Notes

  1. Raise vehicle and drain lubricant from transmission. Remove drive shaft. Disconnect speedometer cable. Disconnect electrical connectors at transmission. Disconnect shift linkage at shifter. Remove shifter support attaching bolts at transmission.
  2. Remove transmission mount attaching bolts. Support transmission and remove crossmember attaching bolts and crossmember from vehicle. Remove transmission attaching bolts and remove transmission from vehicle.
