Upper Control Arm & Bushings: Removal

- Raise and support vehicle under lower control arms. Remove wheel. Remove upper ball joint cotter pin and nut. Separate ball joint from steering knuckle. For "T" Series, use Ball Joint Separator (J-34026 ). See Figure . For "K" Series, use Ball Joint Separator (J-36607 ).
- On all models, mark alignment adjustment cams for realignment reference. Remove upper control arm pivot bolts, cams and nuts. Discard nuts. Note component locations for reassembly reference. Remove control arm. See Figure and Figure .
- Replace bushings and/or bumper as needed. Mount control arm in vise and note bushing installed position for reassembly reference. Press bushing out of control arm.
