Gauge Constantly Reads 80 Or Above

  1. Check for open circuit between gauge and sending unit by disconnecting lead at sending unit. Connect lead to ground and note reading on gauge.
  2. If oil pressure gauge reads 0, replace oil pressure gauge sending unit. If oil pressure gauge still reads 80 or beyond, find open wire between gauge and sending unit.
