Trip Odometer Does Not Reset

  1. Check for inoperative cluster control switch or wiring. Disconnect large 17-pin connector from cluster. Using an ohmmeter, measure resistance between cluster connector pin A5 and ground. See Figure.
  2. Resistance should be zero in one position and open in the other. If switch does not respond as indicated, repair Light Green/Black wire between cluster and switch, replace switch, or repair Black wire from switch to ground.
  3. If switch and related wiring are okay, replace inoperative instrument cluster.
