C, G, K, P, R & V Series (Diesel)

Light will illuminate when ignition is turned on to show that glow plugs are warming up cylinder combustion area to ease starting. When light goes out, engine is ready to be started. During cranking or after starting, it is normal for light to cycle on and off a few times, showing that glow plugs are still operating to warm cylinder.
