Rear Bearing Retainer Oil Seal: Installation

  1. Clean gasket surfaces. Coat outer diameter of NEW oil seal with sealant. Install oil seal using Driver (J-22834-2). Coat threads of retainer bolts with sealant.
  2. To complete installation, reverse removal procedure. Tighten nuts and bolts to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS . Fill transmission with gear oil, and lower vehicle.
