Warning system consists of an oil pressure switch and a warning light on instrument cluster. Oil pressure switch closes when oil pressure drops to less than 4 psi (.28 kg/cm2 ) and illuminates warning light on instrument cluster. Oil pressure warning switch is mounted next to oil pressure sending unit on vehicles equipped with gauges. Warning switch is mounted in place of sending unit on vehicles NOT equipped with gauges. Light will illuminate when ignition is turned on, and if no problem exists, light will go out when engine starts.
