Coil Springs & Insulators: Removal

  1. Turn off ignition so Electronic Level Control system (if equipped) will not activate. Raise vehicle and support axle housing with adjustable lifting device. Disconnect trim height sensor link (if equipped). Disconnect upper control arms at axle housing.
  2. Disconnect stabilizer bar (if equipped). Remove brake hose support bolt at axle housing to allow axle to drop further. Remove shock absorber lower mounts. Lower axle enough to remove spring. Remove coil springs and insulators.
NOTE: Brake lines do not have to be disconnected to let axle drop. Do not lower axle to a point where brake line supports axle.
