Fitting Pistons
Production and service pistons have same nominal weight and can be intermixed without affecting engine balance. DO NOT cut oversized pistons down as balance will be affected.
CAUTION:
Manufacturer recommends seating bearing caps with leather or brass mallet BEFORE tightening bearing cap bolts. Tighten in proper sequence. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS table at end of this article.
