A/T - 700R4 Bind In Reverse After Rebuild

BULLETIN: # 134

TRANSMISSION: 700-R4

SUBJECT: Bind in Reverse

APPLICATION: GM

700-R4 Bind in Reverse

Bind-up in reverse on a 700-R4 can be caused by using the wrong type of case. When case replacement is required, use only an auxiliary valve body case for units with an auxiliary valve body, and use non-auxiliary valve body cases for units without auxiliary valve body.

Using an auxiliary valve body type case to replace a non-auxiliary type will cause complaints of bind-up in reverse and drives forward in neutral.
