Clutch Air Check

Fig. 74, Turbine shaft oil passages:

1. Air check the 3-4, forward and overrun clutches by applying air pressure at the oil feed holes in the turbine shaft, Fig. 74. When the overrun clutch is checked, air will blow by the forward clutch piston lip seals and exit out the forward clutch feed hole in the turbine shaft.
2. Install four turbine shaft oil seal rings into the turbine shaft ring grooves. Seal color identifies manufacturer and does not affect assembly.
