Indicator Lamp Will Not Illuminate

1. Turn ignition switch to the crank position, and proceed as follows:
a. If lamp illuminates, lamp is satisfactory and connector is properly installed. Proceed to step 2.
b. If lamp does not illuminate, check bulb, socket and wiring between socket and module connector. Replace or repair as necessary.
2. Turn ignition switch to the On position and disconnect electrical lead at coolant level sensor mounted on the radiator. If lamp fails to illuminate, check wiring between coolant level sensor connector and ECM for a short circuit to ground. If circuit is satisfactory, replace the ECM.
