Timing Belt & Sprockets: Inspection

  1. Look for cracks in side and rear faces of timing belt. Belt must be replaced if these crack are present. Look for signs of abnormal wear around side faces of timing belt. Belt must be replaced if there is abnormal wear.
  2. Look for signs of cracking or deterioration in timing belt fabric. Belt must be replaced if these conditions are present. Look for signs of abnormal wear in timing belt cogs. Belt must be replaced if there is abnormal wear.
