Removal (Carburetor Engines)

  1. Disconnect negative battery cable. Disconnect O2 sensor wiring. Disconnect hot air cover and tubing and air injection pipe. Raise vehicle. Disconnect exhaust pipe from exhaust manifold.
  2. Lower vehicle. Remove exhaust manifold mounting bolts and nuts. Check exhaust manifold for cracks or warpage.
