Valve Arrangement

Exhaust Manifold Side - Exhaust valves.

Intake Manifold Side - Intake valves.

  1. Rotate crankshaft until No. 4 piston is at TDC on compression stroke. Align crankshaft pulley timing mark with zero degree mark on timing scale. Adjust intake valve for No. 3 and No. 4 cylinders. Adjust exhaust valve for No. 2 and No. 4 cylinders. See COLD VALVE CLEARANCE ADJUSTMENT table.
  2. Rotate crankshaft 360 degrees until No. 1 cylinder is at TDC on compression stroke. Adjust intake valve for No. 1 and No. 2 cylinders. Adjust exhaust valve for No. 1 and No. 3 cylinders. Reinstall rocker cover.
