Removal & Installation

  1. Remove oil pump from block. Disassemble oil pump. Remove front oil pump seal. Install new seal on pump. Install 2 alignment pins and oil pump gasket on block. Position Oil Seal Guide (J-34853) onto crankshaft and lubricate outside of guide with oil.
  2. Install oil pump assembly. Tighten mounting bolts to specifications. Check seal to ensure seal lip is not turned up. Remove guide. Trim gasket even with oil pump and oil pan mounting surface on block.
