Engine Identification

NOTE: For engine repair procedures not covered in this article, see ENGINE OVERHAUL PROCEDURES - GENERAL INFORMATION article in the GENERAL INFORMATION section.

Engine can be identified by the 8th character in the Vehicle Identification Number (VIN). VIN is stamped on a metal plate located on top of dash panel, on lower left corner of windshield.
