Upper Control Arm & Pivot Shaft Bushings: Installation

  1. To install, position upper control arm bolts loosely in frame. Install pivot shaft on bolts. Inner pivot bolts must be installed with bolts heads toward front on front bushing and toward rear on rear bushing.
  2. Install shims in original position and tighten mounting bolts. Remove rotor and hub assembly support and reconnect ball joint. Complete installation by reversing removal procedure. Lower vehicle and tighten pivot shaft. Adjust wheel alignment as necessary.
