Steering Knuckle: Installation

  1. Insert upper and lower ball joint studs in knuckle and install nuts. Install shield over knuckle seal and onto knuckle. Install tie rod end stud into knuckle bore.
  2. Install Steering Linkage Installer (J-29193 ). Tighten prevailing nuts to 15 ft. lbs. (20 N.m). Remove installer tool. Install stud nut. Install new cotter pin.
  3. Install hub and rotor assembly. Adjust wheel bearings. To complete installation, reverse removal procedure. Check front end alignment.
