Coil Springs: Installation

  1. Position spring on control arm ensuring that spring insulator is in place. Lift control arm with compressor tool and jack stand. Ensure spring is properly positioned.
    NOTE: Coil spring must be positioned with tape at lowest position. Bottom of spring is coiled helical and the top is coiled flat with a gripper notch near end of spring coil.

  2. Position lower control arm in frame and install pivot bolts (front bolt first). In order to maintain steering linkage clearance, install pivot bolts with nuts toward the rear of vehicle. See Figure . Complete installation by reversing remove procedure.
