Instrument Panel - Electronic: Testing: Speedometer

  1. Remove connector from speed sensor. Connect mating cable from Instrument Panel Tester (J-33431) to connector just removed. Plug in tester and set to "60 Hz", with ignition switch in "RUN" position.
  2. Speedometer should indicate 54 MPH. If speedometer indicates correctly, replace speed sensor. If speedometer reading is incorrect, check sensor wires and connections to instrument panel. If wiring and connections are good, replace cluster.
