Front Crankshaft Seal: Service and Repair

REMOVE OR DISCONNECT
1. Inner splash shield.
2. Harmonic Balancer.
3. Pry out seal with a suitable tool.

INSTALL OR CONNECT
Tool Required: J35468 Seal Installer.
1. Lubricate seal with clean engine oil.
2. Insert in Timing Cover with lip facing the engine.
3. Insert Tool J35468 and drive seal into place.
4. Harmonic Balancer.

Tighten
^ Bolt to 90-115 Nm (67-85 ft. lb.)
5. Inner splash shield.
INSPECT
^ For fluid leaks.
