With Manual Brakes
CAUTION: Brake fluid will damage electrical connections and painted surfaces. Use shop cloths, drip pans and fender covers to prevent brake fluid from contacting these areas.Removing/Installing Master Cylinder Assembly:
Removal:
1. Disconnect master cylinder (13) pushrod.
2. Remove air cleaner.
3. Loosen tube nuts (15) and disconnect two hydraulic brake pipes.
4. Remove two attaching nuts (16).
5. Remove master cylinder (14) as shown. Do not remove spacer (17) and gasket (18) unless damaged.
Installation:
1. Install master cylinder (14) and torque attaching nuts (16) to 17 Nm (150 in.lb)
2. Reconnect master cylinder (13) pushrod.
3. Attach tube nuts (15) and torque to 11 Nm (100 in.lb)
4. Bleed hydraulic system. Refer to Brakes/Service and Repair/Bleeding Procedure. Service and Repair
