The low drag front calipers that entered production with the start of the 1986 model year resulted in a slight increase in service brake pedal travel. Some customers may find the increased pedal travel undesirable. To provide reduced pedal travel, new low displacement front calipers were released for production starting with the specified vehicle serial number. The same low displacement calipers are available for service and can be used to correct the "increased pedal travel" complaints. The low displacement calipers will also replace all 1983 thru 1986 calipers singly or in pairs. Refer to the service manual and flat rate guide for installation time and procedures.
